Answer: A dozen cookies could be sold for 25 cents! In the July 1922 issue of The American Girl magazine, Florence E. Neil from Chicago provided her cookie recipe to 2,000 Girl Scouts and estimated that the cost of ingredients for six to seven dozen cookies was 26¢ to 36¢. She suggested the girls sell them for 25¢ or 30¢ per dozen.
